4 Things To Look For In A Computer Speed Up Programregistry-repair
A large percent of the problems causing our computers to be slow can be found in the Window’s Startup Manager. You probably have applications running on your PC that started when you turned the unit on, they are continuing to run in the background and they are not being used for anything. Reducing the number of these beginning at startup is a good way to increase computer speed and reduce other problems.

The computer manufacturer will typically have some pre-loaded applications included with your new PC that have been programmed to begin at startup. Other ones were fixed up this way when you, or whoever programmed your PC, loaded the software or the program’s driver onto the pc. It’s not always advisable to just delete a program that is running because it can hurt other applications or cause further problems. Your registry repairing program will help you eliminate these programs and turn them off without causing any damage to anything else.

How To Increase Computer Speed

Another post on how to increase computer performance: Computer Slowdown; General PC Maintenance

It is simple but true that as computers are used and get older they have more and more programs and data and simply slow down. They also can have glitches with pop-ups, notices, and too much going on especially at startup. There are several things you can do to help and here we will go over “unused and unneeded programs”.

Most computers have dozens of programs installed that will never be used. Some of them were installed by the manufacturer that you did not want or even know they were there and have never even been used and can cause a slow computer speed and performance. Some programs are installed, almost unknowingly, when your install a new program. Toolbars are famous for being added to an installation unless you realize it and instruct it to NOT load it onto your computer.

But however they got there they are taking up space and many times even running in the background and using up capacity. They can be turned off and removed and you can do this yourself. Let’s look at how.

From the Start menu go to the Control Panel and find Programs or Programs and Features or even Uninstall Programs (depends on your operating system). In the uninstall listing you will simple click the program you want to remove and click uninstall. It’s that simple.

But a little caution here too. Be careful that you don’t delete something you shouldn’t or the wrong program. Sometimes programs are listed with manufacturer names and can be confusing. You’d be surprised how easy you can figure it out, though, with a quick Google search of the name listed.

Some the programs you need to look for and remove include trial or condensed versions of software that you never used and don’t intend to. As an example, most computers come from the factory with an anti-virus software loaded and possibly running. You have 30 days usually to sign up and purchase it. If you used a different one, as many do, it is still there and needs to be uninstalled.
